my first love <3 crazy that even 16 years later modern games are running, try in 2008 to play a modern game with a cpu 16 years old (1992) will not work :D i remember there was no way to get 100 % workload on all cores while gaming, just with prime 95 :D

Difference between Ryzen 5 1600 and Ryzen 5 5600 in games? A huge one! I think the FX were still ok for their time, despite showing less fps with high end GPUs, a Ryzen 5 5600 gets double the FPS of an FX 6300 paired with the same RTX 3080, 180fps vs. 80fps in some games, I think that Ryzen 5 1600 is somewhere in the middle compared with FX 6300 and Ryzen 5 5600.

These fx processors were really slept on, as time went on the dual core i3s and quad core i5s started to choke whereas the similar 6300 and 8350 fx were way more solid and smoother.

Nah, you're wrong. I mean, not about the numbers or the used pricing, but I gamed with no problems on many titles (NieR: Automata is incredibly CPU intensive on this tier, at least, but it also manages to heat up my current Ryzen) 'til two months ago. Besides your other settings are not displayed. GPU and resolution, specially. Lower resolutions will put load on the CPU while higher will put it on the GPU... So, as I said: FX6300 worked for me and you're not telling the whole story here. As for the rest, if anyone's getting ANY of these CPUs, it better be for really cheap, they're both incredibly old.

I actually got one in today only. So its new to me. Gonna put it through its paces. Good review.

Can you send me the bios of this video card to fix mine, I updated to the 1000 mhz version of this card and now it is giving me artifacts, I need the Tobago Pro 1050 mhz bios for it to work again, I tried to contact the XFX support but they said they no longer have this bios in their database.I'll give you some money for this, I promise.

Just play on the lowest possible settings in all games to see how much your cpu can give

Depending on where you live this card can use 10$ of power per month easy... and that alone is reason to replace it for something more efficient.

as someone with a gaming pc with this graphics card i can say it is frustrating to even watch videos at times

I just installed new games. I have only Dx11 with a Invidia 460Gtx paired with the Q6600 and 4gb Ram. Playing Metro Redux right now. Also emulation yes. I would like a video, but use old graphic card also. This puppy is rocking the Kasbah since 2008! Tomb Raider and Assassins Black Flag also run very smoothly!

It's really good for troubleshooting. A few months ago my pc suddenly doesn't display and I couldn't figure out whether it was the GPU or the motherboard PCIE slot that was broken. Then I picked up the Athlon for $10 online and figured out it was the motherboard. Nice little CPU to have handy if you're on AM4

Got mine in HP 550 with budget expansion, the Graphics cards slot is not working, so you;re stuck with only 4400 Intel GMA tier 2 Haswell graphics, but a Broadwell can be upgraded in this Mobo or similar ZIF slot

Similar to AMD Athlon 200GE is the Athlon 3000g, I've used that cpu as my daily driver for the past 2 years and it didn't disappoint. It was back in 2021.
